New PNR Series Announcement & Cover Reveal: INK BLOSSOM

New PNR Series Announcement & Cover Reveal: INK BLOSSOM

Dear Monster Kissers & Wild Strangers from the Sea,

Yes, I know, THE SHORE OF HIM hasn’t even released yet, and here I am, already announcing a new series? It’s simply because I’m way too excited and it’s getting too hard to keep my mouth shut. I want to talk about my new project. I want to share it with you all.

I’ve been (mostly) silent about it ever since I began working on it in January this year, and I think it’s been long enough 😉

So! My new Paranormal Romance series is called Ink Blossom, and tells a tale of seasons and devils, and a fiery girl determined to find her own way in a world she does not belong in.

“Oh, my love, don’t lose me now,
Come and find me, come and look
for me in this maze of pumpkins,
Yes, of pumpkins and rattling bones”

Even though her heart calls out to Spring, Gwyn is forced to live in the Land of Autumn. Desperate to escape, Gwyn crosses paths with that of the Autumn devil’s, who is nothing she thought he would be:

Beautiful. Soft-spoken.
A broken man haunted by nightmares and guilt and death.

Gwyn has a choice to make. To either remain trapped forever.
Or to risk it all and free the devil from his cage.

The Ink Blossom series consists of 4 books total, and the first book will release on September 20th, 2022!

But, before I’m sharing any more information, let’s check out the covers:

I know I say this about all covers that have been created for my books, but I LOVE THESE SO MUCH. ❤️❤️ They capture the overall mood of the story perfectly, and I already can’t wait to see them standing side by side on my book shelf… and on others’ too, of course! (Please keep sending me pictures, I’m honored and I love seeing my books on your shelves!!)

As I said before, the first book will release on September 20th, 2022! Book 2 will also release this year, and books 3 and 4 are scheduled for 2023.

Finished writing The Sea of Her series + new books + am I neglecting this blog?

Finished writing The Sea of Her series + new books + am I neglecting this blog?

Dear Weepers of Pearls & Wild Strangers from the Sea; dear Monster Kissers & Collectors,

At last, I’m here with a new blog post. To be honest, I published two new ones back in March, so I suppose “neglect” is too big a word, still it feels like quite a while since I actually posted an update regarding my writing. There is a reason for that, but I’ll get into that at the end of this post.

First things first! ❤️

• The Sea of Her has come to an end

In the second week of March, I sat down to work on THE SHORE OF HIM, the 6th and final book in The Sea of Her series — and last Thursday, on March 31st, I wrote the final words for the book. Which means I’ve only worked on it for 3 weeks… yet it felt like months, probably because THE SHORE OF HIM is such an intense, emotional roller coaster of a book.

To be honest, I literally cried after finishing the manuscript. I’m not sure what came over me, actually — I always feel emotionally connected to my stories and characters, but something about Leilani’s and Keanu’s tale coming to an end just both made me happy and terribly sad at once. Kind of having to say goodbye to the best of friends. And I don’t really like having to say goodbye.

However, I’ve sent the manuscript out to my beta readers, and revisions will start later this month and run through in May. Which means it’s not a final farewell yet; I still have plenty of work to do on the book 😉

• Time for a new journey

I just realized I’ve never spoken of this on this blog this year (see what I mean? I AM kind of neglecting this place), but in January/February, I took a quick break from The Sea of Her to write the first book in a brand new Paranormal Romance series! I’ve talked about it for a bit on social media, especially on Instagram, even though I’ve never really shared any details.

And actually, I’m still not going to, because the time isn’t there yet. If everything goes according to plan, however, the cover for the first book should be designed this month, so I can schedule a reveal pretty soon, and finally share some details. These new characters have managed to steal my heart yet again, so I’m stoked to introduce them to you soon 🙂

Next to that, I’m brainstorming for 4 or 5 different book series at the moment, so, well… it’s going to be busy. I promise to keep you posted 😉

• To blog… or to vlog?

Now, to tell you the reason why I haven’t been blogging a lot lately: it’s because I have decided to start vlogging. Yes. Next to my writing, I’m going to be a YouTuber. I’ll be in front of the camera, no more hiding behind-the-scenes, and talk your ears off about my greatest passion… which is writing! I think it’s also called “AuthorTube”? I’m still learning the lingo here, guys, so bear with me.

Basically, I’m simply going to share my life as a writer with you all, in a more visual way than a blog will ever allow me to do. To be clear, I won’t be stopping this blog, but there will be more regular updates on my future vlog instead. I haven’t finished any video yet, but if you’d like to be the first to see them, you can already subscribe to my YouTube channel over here~!

I can’t say exactly when my first vlog will be up. The plan is May at the latest, but that means I have to get to work and start some serious recording 😉 I’ve already been practicing a bit in my Instagram stories, and I am super hyped about all this! Please stay tuned~

So, lots of exciting things going on! I have many plans for this year, and can’t wait to share it all with you guys 😀

I hope you are all very well, and thank you for reading this blog! Tell me, what do you prefer these days? Blogs or vlogs? Personally, I used to be a blog-enthusiast, but these days I rarely read them (oops), and watch lots of vloggers instead. I just feel that seeing someone, hearing them talk to me, and with the right images and music, I feel so much more connected to people. But maybe that’s just me! What about you? ❤️

Feel free to leave a comment down below, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask! You can also reach out to me on social media, or through email ( contact(at)lynnrobin.com )~

OFFICIAL COVER REVEALS & RELEASE DATES: The Sea of Her 5 and 6 | the final books

OFFICIAL COVER REVEALS & RELEASE DATES: The Sea of Her 5 and 6 | the final books

Dear Weepers of Pearls and Wild Strangers from the Sea,

At last, the time has come for me to reveal the final two covers in The Sea of Her series: book 5 THE PEARLS OF HER and book 6 THE SHORE OF HIM ❤️

Those of you who have read and finished book 4 have most probably already seen the cover for book 5 as it’s announced in the back, and the cover has been out there on Goodreads for a couple of months now — but today marks its official reveal and that of the very final book in the series, which hasn’t been shown anywhere before 😉

Leilani’s and Keanu’s battle against false Kings and Queens in order to save the ocean continues in book 5, and comes to a grand finale in book 6 — but there is more for them to fight against but the curse that has been poisoning the sea for so long: as their pasts and true identities unravel more and more, they both have demons to conquer and choices to make. It brings them closer and deepens their love—but will it last, will this war bind them together forever… or tear them apart instead?

Ready for the covers to be revealed?

You’d better be, because here they come!:

Personally, I’m so happy with my designer’s work and how the final covers came out ❤️ I’m having a hard time believing this journey with Leilani and Keanu is almost coming to an end; it’s been a year now that I began working on it, and I still remember those first few weeks of dipping my toes into this tale and meeting them both. It’s making me rather nostalgic, actually.

Sorry. Emotional writer’s brain talking. Moving on:

Release dates (mark your calender!)

• THE PEARLS OF HER releases on March 15th in ebook and paperback

• THE SHORE OF HIM releases on June 21st in ebook and paperback

Please look forward to these final two installments of The Sea of Her 🙂

Feel free to leave a comment down below, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask! You can also reach out to me on social media, or through email ( contact(at)lynnrobin.com )~

Insomnia Saga: ORIGINS postponed & Kissing Monsters 2021 publications: Official cover reveals and release dates

Insomnia Saga: ORIGINS postponed & Kissing Monsters 2021 publications: Official cover reveals and release dates

Hey there Sleepwalkers and Monster Kissers,

Got a pretty big update for you guys this week, as I have some news to share about both the Insomnia Saga and Kissing Monsters. Most of it is good, I assure you! But first things first…

• Insomnia Saga: book 3, ORIGINS will release later than expected

First of all, I’d like to apologize for this. I’m aware readers have been looking forward to the third big installment to the Insomnia Saga, and last summer I announced that the book would hit the online bookshelves in February 2021.

However, during the past few months some things have changed drastically for me, as the Kissing Monsters books unexpectedly rose in popularity, meaning I had to alter my writing and editing schedule to keep the fire going, so to speak. Also, I have discovered a new way to write faster, edit faster, and so publish faster and on a more regular basis, which has proved to be a great working method for me.

All this resulted in me having to give the Kissing Monsters books my priority and deciding to postpone the release date of ORIGINS.

That’s the bad news.

The good news is, ORIGINS will still release in 2021! But as I have changed “publishing tactics” so to speak, it will release a bit differently…:

— ORIGINS will be published in two separate parts (or “episodes”, if you will).
— Part One will release in eBook edition on March 25th, 2021
— Part Two will release in eBook edition on May 25th, 2021
— the ORIGINS paperback edition will also release on May 25th, 2021, as well as the complete eBook edition

So, if you can’t wait to read it, the first half of the book will be available for you all in March in eBook edition only; if you’re patient enough to wait, the complete book will be available in both eBook and paperback edition in May!

I hope all of you don’t mind waiting a bit longer. As soon as I have more updates on ORIGINS, I will let you all know and keep you posted on the developments such as editing, teasers, etc. 🙂

Jodi and Kay will return soon!

• KISSING SECRETS (Kissing Monsters 7): cover reveal & release date

And there it is! The cover for the seventh installment in the series. I think this is one of my personal favorites (just like 6), because it looks so mysterious and dreamy. Or should I say… secretive? (Sorry, sorry.)

• PRE-ORDER NOW:

Amazon for $1.99

Kobo for $1.99

Barnes&Noble for $1.99

Google Play for $1.99

Moving on to…:

• KISSING PASSION (Kissing Monsters 8): cover reveal & release date

Book 8 will be the final book in the Kissing Monsters series, wrapping up the story arc with a dramatic finale~ (hey, I’m not giving any spoilers here). I almost can’t believe we’re nearly at the end of this series already, little over a year since the release of book 1…

KISSING PASSION releases in ebook edition for $1.99 on March 16th, 2021

• PRE-ORDER NOW:

Amazon for $1.99

Kobo for $1.99

Barnes&Noble for $1.99

For those of you who’d rather wait and read the final four books all in one go, or prefer to have a physical copy, books 5, 6, 7 and 8 have been combined into a second collection! Personally, I’m absolutely loving these editions; I think the covers are so striking and colorful ❤️ I can’t thank my designer enough!!

Kissing Monsters Collection #2 releases in ebook edition for $4.99 on April 20th, 2021

• PRE-ORDER NOW:

This concludes the big release update! I hope you are all as excited as I am 😉 There’s even more to come this year…

As always, I’ll keep you all posted! If you have any questions or just have something to share, feel free to drop me a line~

KISSING GHOSTS (Kissing Monsters #4): Official cover reveal and release date

KISSING GHOSTS (Kissing Monsters #4): Official cover reveal and release date

For a wild moment Scarlet considered brushing her mouth against Julian’s—something urged her on, a need she couldn’t say she ever felt before.
Perhaps it was his beauty.
Or perhaps it was the mystery that surrounded him, something that told her there was more to him than met the eye.
Something broken.

Hi there, monster kissers~

I hereby present to you (once more, in case you are reading this blogpost through email, which doesn’t show the post’s featured image, sadly)… the cover for book 4 in the Upper YA Dark Fantasy Romance Kissing Monsters series, entitled KISSING GHOSTS:

If I say so myself, I am completely IN LOVE with it. The color is absolutely gorgeous and I just love how this cover’s atmosphere perfectly fits the book. It somehow looks both a bit spooky and melancholic, which is exactly how writing KISSING GHOSTS felt to me ❤️

KISSING GHOSTS releases in ebook edition for $1.99 on November 17th, 2020

• PRE-ORDER NOW:

Amazon for $1.99

Kobo for $1.99

In case some of you haven’t read book 3 yet, I’ve decided not to share the blurb in this blogpost — but if you already have and are curious, check it out here! (Simply scroll all the way down~)

This is it for now! I hope you’ll all look forward to book 4 — I think it’ll help us all remain in a Halloween-ish mood for a bit longer 😉 If you have any questions or just have something to say, feel free to drop me a line!

My books are available EVERYWHERE once more!

My books are available EVERYWHERE once more!

Hey there, shadow darlings!

A few months ago — in June — I decided to remove the Kissing Monsters series and the Insomnia Saga ebooks from sites such as Kobo and Barnes&Noble, all so I could enroll them in Amazon’s “KDP Select” program. With my books exclusively for sale on Amazon, it would mean they would also be available on Kindle Unlimited, where members can read an unlimited (hey hey~ xD) amount of books for, I believe, around $10 a month. I figured this would give more people the opportunity to discover my books without them having to buy them, which could possibly boost future sales.

What I did not realize at the time, however, even after careful research (enthusiasm makes one blind, I guess), was that this gave Amazon way too much influence on my promotion — mainly, how I wish to promote my books to readers. In a nutshell, I find out that as long as my books were enrolled in KDP Select I wasn’t allowed to give away my ebooks for free through — for example — my website or email. I wouldn’t even be allowed to host online events in which people could win one of my books for free. Also, I wasn’t allowed to reach out to readers and give them a free copy, because the rules state that you can only ask “professional reviewers” for a review. I could, however, pay lots of money to Amazon to use their special “Amazon advertisements”. Which sounds great and all, but in all honesty I’m rather cynical when it comes to that kind of impersonal promotion. I’m more of a believer of word-of-mouth-marketing!

So to be honest, I wasn’t too charmed by all this. Four years ago I made the decision to go indie because I was sick of others telling me how to write my books, how many titles I was allowed to publish in a year, and even how to promote them; I went indie because I love the freedom of it. Sure, it’s hard sometimes, because you don’t have a publisher behind you to plug your book and push your sales — but the freedom is totally worth it and what I like about the hard work is that once it pays off… well. That just feels damn awesome.

Anyway, I’m going off topic here: For these reasons I have removed my books from KDP’s program last week and published them again on Smashwords. I can now happily announce that both the Kissing Monsters series and Insomnia Saga ebooks are again available on Amazon and Kobo, Barnes&Noble, and of course Smashwords.

I hope my decision of last summer hasn’t affected any of my readers negatively, making it harder for you to obtain my books. If I did, I apologize! As an author dreaming of sharing her stories with readers from all over the world, I keep looking for more effective ways to promote my books. I thought this could be it, and hey, maybe after some time it would have helped, but there were simply too many restrictions.

The pages of the Insomnia Saga and Kissing Monsters series have been updated and the links to the stores have been added to the information column on the right (or if you’re on your tablet, underneath)! I still have to add Barnes&Noble to the list, but it tends to take some time for ebooks to show up there. Soon, though!

I hope you’ll all understand 🙂 Have a lovely day! ❤️

NEW RELEASE | OUT NOW: KISSING SHADOWS (Kissing Monsters 2)

NEW RELEASE | OUT NOW: KISSING SHADOWS (Kissing Monsters 2)

“Come home with me.”

At that, Kiss tilts her head back to look at him, startled.
Zane gazes back at her—and there it is again, that rawness from those days they spent together, that honesty, that realness that was never part of the game they were playing back then.
Their emotions, at least, had been true.
But she has changed.

Hello there, shadow darlings! ?

It is finally there; the anticipated sequel to KISSING MONSTERS (Dark Fantasy Romance), which released earlier this year on Valentine’s Day. In KISSING SHADOWS the story of Kiss and Zane continues; they found love, but shadows are gathering, threatening to tear them apart as they both have to face impossible choices.

KISSING SHADOWS is available on Amazon worldwide in eBook edition; get it here for $0.99!

Watch the official book trailer:

• KISSING SHADOWS (Kissing Monsters #2)

“Come home with me.”
At that, Kiss tilts her head back to look at him, startled.
Zane gazes back at her—and there it is again, that rawness from those days they spent together, that honesty, that realness that was never part of the game they were playing back then.
Their emotions, at least, had been true.
But she has changed.

Kiss has left.

Zane thought he would no longer know loneliness—but he was wrong, and now he roams the earth kissing monsters into angels. Being a Gifted One, humans no longer recoil from him but instead are drawn to him like moths to a flame, begging for a touch of his lips; yet with every touch, all that he’s kissing are shadows.

He wants Kiss back. He craves her love.
But she has changed.

As he discovers the truth about her, Zane sets out to find a way to tame the beast in her heart, so he can once again claim her kisses—without turning her into an angel.

Yet as both monsters and angels try to come between them,
Zane and Kiss have to make a choice:
To give up on each other. Or to fight instead.

I actually wrote KISSING SHADOWS about a month after releasing KISSING MONSTERS — to be honest, I’ve written it during the first week my country officially went into lock-down because of COVID-19. Feeling anxious and having a little bit of trouble concentrating on tasks that first week, I was so glad to have this project to focus on. Writing KISSING SHADOWS has been nothing but sheer fun, and I hope you’ll experience the same reading it ?

Thank you so much for reading, and don’t forget — book 3, KISSING SCARLET, will release September 29th this year! 😉

Feel free to drop me a line anytime; on my blog, on social media, through email; I always love hearing from my readers ❤️ Also, I’d appreciate it if you’d consider adding the book to your Goodreads!

Again, thank you — and enjoy the rest of your summer!

Mad World | The Insomnia Files paperback release postponed

Mad World | The Insomnia Files paperback release postponed

Hello everyone,

It’s a mad world out there, isn’t it?

Schools and universities have been closed, people who can are supposed to work from home, and even restaurants, cinemas and other shops and places had to close their doors. Barely anyone uses public transportation, and the streets are eerily quiet.

Really, I had no idea the world could be this silent.

When I woke up this morning, all I heard was birdsong — while I’m used to hearing people, mainly parents yelling at their kids to get a move on. This morning? Nothing.

It’s scary to think that a thing like a virus can shut down our world and lives like this… and meanwhile, nature doesn’t seem to care; the sky is blue, the sun is shining, the weather is lovely. And yet, I hardly dare stepping outside, because suddenly the outside world seems menacing to me, every person you meet a hazard.

Like I said on social media last weekend, my Instagram, Twitter and Facebook feeds are filled with anxiety, people panicking, and others arguing whether we’re overreacting or not. I myself am a rather cautious person, so I must admit I feel a sense of anxiety as well — and while I’ve always been a bit of a hermit, it’s even worse now. I’m staying indoors as much as possible, and don’t even risk going out for a run. I did last week, though, but the atmosphere was strange; everyone was watching the other, and I got the sense everyone just wanted to get indoors as soon as possible. Myself included, to be honest! 😉

And on that note…

Some might think I’m overreacting and that this precaution isn’t necessary, but I’ve made my decision anyway: on April 7th the short story collection The Insomnia Files (Insomnia Saga 1.5) would be released in both paperback and eBook edition, but I have decided to postpone the paperback release to later this year.

I publish my paperbacks with Amazon, and looking at the fact that my latest book, INSOMNIA, was first printed in Poland, then shipped to Germany, and then again shipped to the Netherlands to get it to me, I simply don’t feel comfortable placing any orders online for the time being.

>>> The eBook release of The Insomnia Files, however, will still be published on April 7th! <<<

I even thought of postponing the release entirely, but I read a Tweet last weekend in which someone said that the world needs creative people the most right now, and so I realized that publishing a new eBook would actually be a nice thing since everyone is mainly staying indoors these days 🙂 (In any case, I know I am really enjoying reading and other indoors activities at the moment, now more than ever.)

So, if you really want to get your hands on The Insomnia Files paperback edition, I apologize for the delay in the release, but I believe you should do whatever you feel comfortable with, which is why I made this decision. As soon as things normalize again (and I really hope that’s sooner than later), I will publish the paperback ASAP — however, the eBook will be available in any format you prefer in many online (book)stores ?

In anticipation to the release (which will be in 3 weeks!), I’ll be sharing sneak peeks of both Kay’s short story as well as Alain’s, which are both included in this collection! To find out more about The Insomnia Files, check out this page! (Third in list!)

• Stay well, stay safe

With this post I also wanted to check up on you guys; how are you doing, and how are you experiencing everything right now? I hope you’re well and in good health 🙂

Stay well, stay safe.

(I even came up with a cool mantra for myself: KEEP CALM AND WRITE ON. Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it?!)

Wishing you all the best of health ❤️

— Lynn

The Insomnia Files & NOCTURNE (Insomnia Saga #1.5 + #2): Cover reveals and release dates

• The Insomnia Files (Insomnia Saga #1.5)

As you can see, the cover for The Insomnia Files is based on the cover created for the short story JODI COLLINS, as that is one of the stories featured in this collection!

The Insomnia Files contains three short stories written from three different perspectives, diving deeper into the Insomnia Saga universe.

FILE #1 tells the story of Jodi Collins and takes place four years prior to INSOMNIA: Thirteen years old, Jodi has just started working for the Miller Academy. As she’s sent on a mission on a dark, wintery night, she has no choice but to confront the demons of the Night—and fight them.

In FILE #2 fifteen-year old Kay Somnus is about to take his final exam to become the youngest Summoner in history… but in order to succeed, he will have to pretend—and believe—he is someone he’s not, and forever deny himself his true power.

Alain Somnus, the very first Summoner of Light, is the voice of FILE #3. Hundreds of years ago, he opened a gate and allowed dark powers to spill in that would change the world forever… creating the darkest secret ever kept. Haunted by nightmares and his failure to protect the only girl who had ever managed to touch his heart, he opened the Somnus Academy—but could he live with the lies?

• NOCTURNE (Insomnia Saga #2)

Here it is! The cover for the second installment in the Insomnia Saga, NOCTURNE; I already saw it last month, and I’ve been in love with it ever since ❤️ It perfectly captures the mood of the sequel to INSOMNIA, and I absolutely love the colors. My designer rules 🙂

If you want to read the blurb, please visit this page (scroll down, and then you’ll find it!); I’m not sharing it in this post, because it contains various spoilers regarding the ending of INSOMNIA. So, for those who haven’t read or finished INSOMNIA yet, please tread carefully 😉

That’s it for now! I hope you enjoy, will enjoy, or have enjoyed reading INSOMNIA, and that you’re looking forward to these next installments!

The Insomnia Files is great for those who’d like a bit more background information about Jodi, Kay, and Alain, whose name is mentioned various times in INSOMNIA. By writing these stories, I, as a writer, felt like I got to understand my characters even better, especially Alain Somnus ❤️

NOCTURNE, the sequel to INSOMNIA, picks up the story about three months later, and is written from dual perspective — Jodi’s voice returns, and is joined by Kay’s, as we dive even deeper into his past and personality. Also, Jodi has some things to deal with, and I think I got to flesh out her character even more in this book, especially by adding Kay’s point of view and the way he perceives her and everything else.

I’m already looking forward to releasing these installments!
