for me in this maze of pumpkins,
Yes, of pumpkins and rattling bones”

Dear seasonal devils,

About a year ago today the idea for a story about the Land of Autumn and a devil and a girl came to me, about 9 months ago I began writing this tale on a cold, windy day in January… and now, today, we’re here to celebrate the official release of Ink Blossom, the very first book in the brand-new paranormal romance Ink Blossom series which starts off a tale of fallen leaves, ink, finding out where you belong, and romance ❤️❤️

• Ink Blossom (Ink Blossom #1)

All her life, Gwyn has lived in a land suspended in eternal autumn—but her heart calls out to the Land of Spring. Leaves don’t fall when she’s around; they flourish instead, and cherry blossoms follow in her wake.

The only way to leave the Land of Autumn, is by having the devil of the Ink Lake accept your offering—the very devil who steals Other Season Girls to feast on their bones—and only then, he will allow a soul to leave his season.

But no one’s offering has ever been accepted.
Except for Gwyn’s.
Yet still, Autumn is trapping her and she cannot leave.

Desperate to escape, Gwyn attracts the attention of a being she should not, and when her path crosses that of the devil’s, he’s nothing she thought he would be.

Beautiful. Soft-spoken.
A broken man haunted by nightmares and guilt and death.

Gwyn has a choice to make. To either remain trapped forever.
Or to risk it all and free the devil from his cage.

As I said before, the idea for Ink Blossom came to me in September 2021 — and it was October, in the midst of the spooky Halloween festivities, that the very first words for this story came to me: “Oh, my love, don’t lose me now/Come and find me, come and look/for me in this maze of pumpkins/Yes, of pumpkins and rattling bones”.

That’s where it all began, and so those were the first words I copied and pasted from my brainstorm document over to the first draft of the manuscript in January 2022 — and once I started writing this story, once I met and shook Gwyn’s hand, got to know her friends, and at last, crossed paths with the Autumn devil… that’s when I fell head over heels with this tale and world.

I hope it will feel the same to you, and that you’ll feel yourself transported to another realm while reading my newest book 🙂 Please enjoy Ink Blossom, and look forward to its sequels that will release in 2022/2023~

Thanks so much for reading my books ❤️

New PNR Series Announcement & Cover Reveal: INK BLOSSOM

Dear Monster Kissers & Wild Strangers from the Sea,

Yes, I know, THE SHORE OF HIM hasn’t even released yet, and here I am, already announcing a new series? It’s simply because I’m way too excited and it’s getting too hard to keep my mouth shut. I want to talk about my new project. I want to share it with you all.

I’ve been (mostly) silent about it ever since I began working on it in January this year, and I think it’s been long enough 😉

So! My new Paranormal Romance series is called Ink Blossom, and tells a tale of seasons and devils, and a fiery girl determined to find her own way in a world she does not belong in.

“Oh, my love, don’t lose me now,
Come and find me, come and look
for me in this maze of pumpkins,
Yes, of pumpkins and rattling bones”

Even though her heart calls out to Spring, Gwyn is forced to live in the Land of Autumn. Desperate to escape, Gwyn crosses paths with that of the Autumn devil’s, who is nothing she thought he would be:

Beautiful. Soft-spoken.
A broken man haunted by nightmares and guilt and death.

Gwyn has a choice to make. To either remain trapped forever.
Or to risk it all and free the devil from his cage.

The Ink Blossom series consists of 4 books total, and the first book will release on September 20th, 2022!

But, before I’m sharing any more information, let’s check out the covers:

I know I say this about all covers that have been created for my books, but I LOVE THESE SO MUCH. ❤️❤️ They capture the overall mood of the story perfectly, and I already can’t wait to see them standing side by side on my book shelf… and on others’ too, of course! (Please keep sending me pictures, I’m honored and I love seeing my books on your shelves!!)

As I said before, the first book will release on September 20th, 2022! Book 2 will also release this year, and books 3 and 4 are scheduled for 2023.

NEW RELEASE | OUT NOW: The Sea of Her (The Sea of Her 1)

Leilani has a gift:
the tears she cries all turn into pearls.

Dear Weepers of Pearls & Wild Strangers from the Sea,

Today I am so excited to announce that The Sea of Her, the first book in my brand new Paranormal Romance series, is now available as eBook and paperback!!

The Sea of Her kicks off the story of Leilani, also known as the Weeper of Pearls, a young woman who is trapped on an island ruled by the sinister Twins… and a mysterious young man who inexplicably washes ashore, and who may or may not be the savior she’s been waiting for all this time.

The Sea of Her is available as a FREE ebook download on:

Smashwords
Kobo
Barnes&Noble
Google Play

* The Sea of Her is also available on Amazon for 0.99; however, if you’d like a MOBI file, you can also download it for free on Smashwords

The Sea of Her is available in paperback edition for $10.99 on:

Amazon

Watch the official book trailer:

• The Sea of Her (The Sea of Her #1)

Leilani has a gift:
the tears she cries all turn into pearls.

Three years ago, her well-kept secret got exposed — and upon finding out, the sinister Twins who rule the island have claimed her as their bride-to-be.

The Twins stole the Crown from the King of the Ocean many years ago, obtaining powers no man should possess, holding everyone prisoner and controlling dark sea creatures that haunt the streets at night.

Desperate for divine intervention, Leilani throws a message in a bottle into the sea, pleading for the King of the Ocean to awaken from his slumber and save her.

The next day, she finds an unconscious young man on the beach.

Keanu is a mystery, quiet and seemingly cold-hearted, stormy-eyed and bearing scars, harboring deep secrets of his own.

Could he be the King?
Or could he at least be Leilani’s savior?

The Sea of Her is a story that has been on my mind for a couple of years, and it feels so special to me to see it has become an actual book now. The moment I held the eBook and then the paperback edition in my hands, it was so unreal. Every time I start a new series it feels magical — and I hope it feels the same way to you, dear reader, and that you will enjoy the start of this new story and that you’ll be there with me for the adventure ❤️ At the moment, five books are planned for the entire series.

And don’t forget, book 2, The Waves of Him will release soon in eBook and paperback on August 24th!

Do you have any questions? Just have something to say? Please feel free to reach out to me on my blog, on social media, or through email ( contact@lynnrobin.com ); I always love hearing from my readers! Also, I’d appreciate it if you’d consider adding the book to your Goodreads and/or on BookBub! 🙂

NEW PARANORMAL ROMANCE BOOK SERIES ALERT: revealing & introducing The Sea of Her

NEW PARANORMAL ROMANCE BOOK SERIES ALERT: revealing & introducing The Sea of Her

After teasing you guys for a couple of months, telling you about the brand new Paranormal Romance series I was working on and promising I would reveal it “soon” and “in the near future”… the time has finally come for me to reveal to you

The Sea of Her

a brand new series that will be launched this summer! ❤️

The Sea of Her takes place in a tropical setting, and starts off on the fictional island of Hibiscus, which is ruled by the sinister Twins, who have powers no man should have. Leilani, a sweet yet mysterious girl, also known as the Weeper of Pearls, is desperate to escape the island and the Twins who demand of her to become their Bride — and when an enigmatic, stormy-eyed young man bearing scars called Keanu inexplicably washes ashore near her restaurant, she can’t help but wonder whether he could be the savior she’d been wishing for all these years…

• the main protagonists are all in their twenties

• includes fantasy elements and lots (LOTS) of romance

• for those who love stories set in a tropical/beach/ocean setting

So, that’s the story in a nutshell — but if you’d like to know more, check out the official blurb below:

And since I’m already sharing and revealing… here’s the cover reveal of book 2 in the series, entitled The Waves of Him:

I am so excited about this, and I hope you are too and will look forward to the release! 😀 Also, I’d like to add how much I just love the cover designs for my new series; as usual, they’ve been created by my incredibly talented sister, and they’re just absolutely gorgeous. Mysterious and dreamy, I promise you they fit the story PERFECTLY.

For now I have 5 books planned for the entire series — if anything changes (meaning, if there will be more books), I’ll be sure to let you all know, of course 😉

Remember: the ebook edition of book 1 will be available as a free download on June 22nd!

MARCH 2021 Writing Update #2: A Month of Endings and New Beginnings

MARCH 2021 Writing Update #2: A Month of Endings and New Beginnings

Hey there Monster Kissers and Sleepwalkers ♥️

It’s been a couple of weeks since my last writing update, but to be honest, it feels like months — probably because I’ve been doing a lot of work… that will result in several new book releases 😉

So, what have I been up to?

• the release of KISSING PASSION

I know most of you already know this, but I like to touch on KISSION PASSION‘s release of last week anyway, because it is different from other book releases; after all, KISSING PASSION is the eighth and final book in the Kissing Monsters series, marking an end to my latest writing journey.

It still feels a bit unreal, to be honest! I’d actually already said my goodbyes to Kiss, Zane, and the others back when I finished the manuscript in December, but now I feel like I’m doing it all over again thanks to the reviews and words of readers. I just want to thank you all for your amazing support for this series, and for  loving the ending!

That’s one of the scariest things when finishing a series; I always do my best to tie up all loose ends and write an ending that will leave you satisfied, but I only know for sure I’ve succeeded in that as soon as I hear back from the readers — meaning, it is a RELIEF you all seem to have enjoyed it.

I will forever do my best to keep this up with my future series 😀

• talking of future series…

In my previous writing update I was still working on the first book of my brand new series… and I am proud to say that I have finished the manuscript last week!

Suddenly my manic writing skills kicked in again (as they usually do when I’m working on the final chapters of a book; it’s weird, but it just happens) and I wrote nearly 100 pages in three days. Now that I look back on it, it actually passed me by in a blur — especially that last day, when I wrote nearly 10.000 words. My brain was absolute toast as soon as I’d written that final sentence of the epilogue, but it was so worth it. Pushing through the last chapters of a manuscript at top-speed always gives me quite the adrenaline boost 😉

I’ve read the entire manuscript on Monday and yesterday, to check whether the overall story line was running smoothly as well as the scenes, and I must say when I finished reading I was feeling rather pleased with my work… but now the nerves have kicked in, because I have sent the manuscript to my beta readers and it’s time to see what they think of it. It’s nerve wracking, I tell you.

However, in any case, I’m planning to launch this new series early summer, so expect some news and revelations during the coming months 😀

• quick Insomnia Saga update

I’ve also been editing the first half of ORIGINS, and the ebook edition of part 1 will release tomorrow! (I’ll publish a blog post on that, of course, so if you’re interested, stay tuned!)

Next week I’m going to dive into the other half, so that one and the complete edition of ORIGINS can finally be released on May 25th in both ebook and paperback ♥️ Jodi and Kay are back in book 3 of the Insomnia Saga, learning to become stronger and braver than ever in a world that’s quickly turning against them, with dark clouds of the Night looming on the horizon…

All right, those are the most important updates for now! I’m going to work on outlining book 2 of the new series, as well as doing some brainstorming sessions for the remaining Insomnia Saga books that still need to be written. As always, I’ll keep you all posted 🙂

JANUARY 2021 Writing Update #2: How I Managed to Freak Myself Out

JANUARY 2021 Writing Update #2: How I Managed to Freak Myself Out

Well hello there, everyone~

As it’s already the final week of January, I figured another Writing Update would be in order. Some of you might have seen some smaller updates on my social media during the last couple of weeks… and might have noticed I was on the verge of some kind of Mental-Breakdown-for-Crazed-Writers, especially last week (nothing too serious, I promise, lol).

So — WHAT HAPPENED?

I’ll explain.

• Chaotic Fantasy

In my previous Writing Update I told you guys that I was about to embark on a new journey by starting on a brand new book series. That’s always a fun, exciting thing, right? I thought so too.

But the thing is, my mind is so full with so many ideas, that I had a hard time focusing on anything during the first few days. Anyway, in the end I finally managed to concentrate again (without feeling like some kind of loopy monkey that’d rather bounce around all day), and I had all these crazy ideas for the story, all these background information for my characters, a massive amount of world-building, an impossible love story… all the ingredients needed for a series.

However, it was all too much.

Every time I had outlined a few chapters, I realized things were getting way too complicated and messy — really, I didn’t want to put my readers through this mess, and actually? The thought of having to write out these chapters kind of made me feel… exhausted. The story was getting out of hand before I even truly started it, and I had a tough time sorting it all out.

I soon realized the key was to simplify the story, by taking out some characters and events and saving them for later books.

That helped.

Yet still wasn’t the solution. I kept on struggling and thinking, until last week — on Thursday night — I truly thought I had it; but when I woke up on Friday and went through my morning routine, I realized my ideas were absolute crap and that I still hadn’t found the right way to tell this story. To be honest, for a moment there I was about to give up on the entire project and move on to another one.

UNTIL… seriously, I think the minute after thinking that, the minute after figuring I should just let go of it for now… I got this amazing idea.

And from that idea, another one unfurled. And another one. Before I knew it, my usual brainstorming flow kicked in, and the ideas and solutions just kept on coming, and finally, I had found the best way to introduce the world and give voice to the characters, who had been starting to feel like wooden puppets to me that just stood around, gaping at me while waiting for me to tell them what to do, rather than breathing humans who tell the story instead.

Which means? I am back. I took the entire weekend off just to take notes and let it all grow inside my mind, and since this Monday I’ve been working on yet another plot outline — and this time I am truly getting excited about this project and falling in love with the characters 😀

• Freaky Times

In all honesty, last week I got a bit worried. I seriously felt like I had somehow “lost my touch” and wasn’t, for some reason, able to coherently tell a story anymore. I began to wonder how the hell I ever began a new series without losing myself in a mountain of ideas.

But that is exactly what helped me figure it out; I always tell myself, when I begin a new series, I have to start out simple. The complications and details can be introduced later in the sequels, as the story and characters evolve. That way, as a writer, I evolve with them — and so do the readers.

It’s quite simple, actually, but I was kind of lost for a bit. And yes, that freaked me out big time 😛

Anyways, I’m back in business again, and very excited to see where this new story is going. As soon as I can share more with you all, I will! 😉

That’s it for this week’s Writing Update! I’m already gearing up for February, in which it is time to prepare the final books of Kissing Monsters for their releases… An update on that will be up on the blog next week!
